Tita Maricar’s Carinderia serves pancit and lutong ulam in Calo, Bay, Laguna — the next barangay over from where I grew up. The owner wanted two things: a website people could find on Google, and a daily Instagram and TikTok presence she did not have to manage herself.

The website is a single static HTML page with no build step. It covers the menu, location, hours, contact info, and a gallery of food photos taken on a phone. Vanilla JavaScript handles the sticky nav, mobile hamburger menu, and scroll-reveal animations. Deployed on Netlify from a GitHub push.
The social side is a structured daily content loop: a 30-minute window each morning to photograph the day’s menu, write a short caption, and post to IG and TikTok. I built a caption bank and content calendar in the marketing workspace — templates for new dishes, customer shout-outs, behind-the-counter clips, and daily specials. A weekly report tracks which posts got engagement and which flopped.
I run this alongside my own projects because it is the kind of local business work that taught me the most about real Filipino internet behavior. The carinderia does not need a chatbot or a CRM. It needs someone to post the silog before 10 AM so the tricycle drivers know lunch is ready.
