Ponggi is the pomodoro app I actually use between client work and Godot sprints. Flutter on Android and Windows (iOS later). When a focus block ends, you pick Play a memory game or Just rest — five break games ship in v1: Pair Up, Echo, Flash Digits, Glow Grid, and Word Crate. Each has per-game difficulty levels, a 90-second forfeit if you idle, and a stats shelf that tracks your arcade progress.
The timer is the serious half. A wall-clock engine keeps focus and break alarms honest even when the app backgrounds on Android or hides to the Windows system tray mid-session. Drift-backed SQLite stores session history, settings, and entitlement state. Kill the process mid-focus, relaunch, and the dial resumes at the correct remaining time.
The mascot is the personality half. Ponggi started as a neon tomato that ripens from green to red as you complete daily sessions. The June 2026 sprint replaced embedded sprites with a physics-driven PonggiCreature — gravity, damping, edge bounce, gesture-to-reaction classification, angry and dizzy faces, sproutable limbs. Poke it during focus and it reacts; the troublemaker-mascot spec is written for what comes next.
Phase 1a monetization adds a freemium arcade unlock through in_app_purchase, with local notifications, tray restore, and generated chimes on session complete. Eighty-two widget and domain tests pass on Windows. Store listing docs for Play Console and App Store are drafted.
I built it because discipline software feels like punishment and I wanted a timer that felt like company. The experiment now is whether the arcade shelf earns PHP 99 from anyone besides me.
