The Lord’s Worship Center is my home church in Bay, Laguna. v1 was a bare static site — service times, statement of faith, a livestream link. It worked, but it did not reflect the personality of the building or the congregation. The v2 redesign touched everything from the color palette to how visitors get from “first click” to “come visit.”

The live site ships with:
- A hero section with service time, location, and quick-info cards
- First Visit guide covering what to expect, dress code, families
- Weekly schedule (Sunday worship, Wednesday prayer, Friday life group)
- Pastor Welcome with a photo and message from the senior pastors
- Sermon library with 3 recent messages and YouTube links
- Feeding program story with photo gallery
- Church life overview: mission, vision, ministry categories
- Community testimonial carousel
- Photo highlights grid (leadership, youth, fellowship, outreach)
- Give section with GCash and PayPal QR codes
- Prayer request form with category dropdown and privacy toggle
The design system matches the tone of the building itself: warm cream and wood tones, serif headlines, understated interactions — no megachurch glossiness. I chose a single-page architecture with smooth anchor navigation because the admin team needed something they could update by editing one HTML file, not a CMS they would never log into.
What I learned from the traffic analytics contradicts the usual church-website wisdom. Members check the schedule on Saturday night more than seekers research the church. The donate button is used less for giving and more as a reference for bank details. The map matters disproportionately to the space it occupies. Every pull on this site reflects a real behavior from the congregation in Bay, not a trend from a church marketing blog.
Senior Pastors Rigor B. and Herminia Malolos signed off on the design direction. I am their son, and I expected more notes. That they trusted the direction without micromanaging it made this project personal in a way client work never is.
