Pledgr is a local-first money app organized around weekly pledges instead of a generic monthly expense dashboard. A user sets a weekly budget, records ledger activity, and gets a safe-to-spend-today number that accounts for reserved money, spending so far, and the days left in the week.
The Expo app uses React Native, SQLite, Zustand, and a pure TypeScript calculation engine. The ledger supports wallets, transfers, soft deletion, weekly pace, leak detection, rebalancing suggestions, and versioned backup and restore.
Integrity before polish
Money is stored in safe integer minor units, including zero- and three-decimal currencies. Restore runs inside a transaction, validates transfer groups and currency invariants, and rolls back on failed writes. Weekly sharing exports aggregate text without transaction notes or wallet names.
The core flows and tests are in place. Public release remains blocked on Android and iOS device verification, the planned visual redesign, and a final support path.
